To the friends and family of Yasgur Road:
Roy and Jeryl can only apologize to you for the rudeness of the Town of Bethel.
We have complied with every impediment these political bullies have put in our way but there is just no way to satisfy
the powers that be until each and every one of you never comes back here again.
Unless you buy an overpriced ticket to the "sanctioned" event where you come in and get out without spending one dime in
this economically depressed area, unless you agree to be charged exorbitant amounts of money by the "sanctioned" event for
water, which you can only buy from them, or stand on long lines for toilets, you will not be welcomed here. Unless you submit
to being treated like cattle you are not welcome home.
We are scheduled to go to federal court in March. Hopefully, we will prevail and you will be welcomed home with dignity
and class.
Thank you all for not being discouraged by the town’s behavior toward you and showing the farm the support and love
that will make this event happen for us eventually. You are hard working, honest, decent people and deserve to be shown respect
when you travel to a community to celebrate a commemoration of something that is so important to us all.
Our hearts are broken but our spirits are strong. We will continue to fight the battle of Bethel until we win the Woodstock
war.
Peace and love, but no music,
Roy and Jeryl
